ENOUGH OF LIGHTING CANDLES FOR RAPE VICTIMS



Am I Blind and Helpless   Thursday morning turned out to be as dark as night, when we were enjoying our routine life, Priyanka Reddy was fighting for her life against four monsters. And, she lost the battle…

What are we up to? We shout slogans, light the candles, and forget the pain after some days. Again, news comes of one more Nirbhaya and Priyanka losing their battle.

We protect our property, house, wealth even take insurance to ensure financial protection to family, if self is gone. Then why are we not protecting our daughters?

Think Again     Did hanging of Nirbhaya’s rapists lessen the crime against women? No, nothing happened. Every day rapes are constantly happening in one or other part of country.

Are you making your daughter ready to face this menace? No? So you think that it cannot happen with her. Reality is, every girl faces some kind of sexual harassment in her life. Moreover, irony is, 98% sexual harassment cases are committed by someone known to the victim.

Make your Daughters Stronger     Now, avoiding Rape has to be taken as social responsibility. Make your Son learn to respect and protect the girls and make your girl learn to protect self and even others. 

Make her physically and mentally strong. Need for self-defence has never been felt this way before. Research in America has also proven this fact way back in 1970s, that feminist self-defence training will only help in reducing crime against women.

Let us Begin    Correction has to start from our homes. It is now onus of all the parents to take the oath that their children will not do this to any one and also prepare them to protect someone. When we all start following it from core of our heart, there will not be any need to light a candle for any girl.

 It is time for us to give it to our children as a mandatory art. It is more important then teaching her dance or sing.

It is time to make it a revolution. Every School should be asked to make self-defence classes compulsory for girls. When whole society stands against this evil, then system will also start working automatically.

No religion teaches to thrash women like this. We have grown reading the Sanskrit Sloka-

“YATRA NARYASTU PUJYANTE, RAMANTE TATRA DEVATAH,
YATRAITASTU NA PUJYANTE, SARVASTATRA-FALAH KRIYAH;”

Wake up guys and mend your ways of living. Protection of daughters, mothers, and wives is absolutely in our hands. Self help will turn out to be best help and then everything will fall in line…

I am hoping and taking this oath, will you ??

    जहाँ स्त्रियों की पूजा होती है वहाँ देवता वसते है और जहाँ स्त्रियों की पूजा नही होती वहाँ सब काम निष्फल होते है।

YE KAHAAN AA GAYE HUM Today while listening songs from 90s, I ventured into the memories of my school days, which is of course golden time of my life. Those were the days when my father used to teach in the Government school and we used to live in small town of MP. Though there were very less facilities but still we were happy family of four. Badoni town was surrounded with hills and almost every hill was having one iconic temple (still has). One side we had Mithiya-wale Hnumanji, other side 'Gopeshwar Mahadev'. Also there were four temples of Devi maa. Mornings used to happen with bhajan sound coming out of Budhe-baba temple. I am proud to say that we had all religion followers living so peacefully. There were several Masjids. World famous Jain temple 'Sonagiri' was just 3 km away.  It was so pious environment all around. We used to celebrate all festivals with so much josh & fervor.
